THE JEWEL OF THE OCEAN

Deep in the oceans of Eorzea, formed by darkness and pressure, Cordelia is a Leviathan who has come ashore. Weaving aether and magic, she has the ability to shapeshift and take different forms when she feels the need to hide her identity. The different people across Eorzea fascinate her, and she delights in their vices, enjoying bites of life that the deep ocean just simply cannot offer.

The deepest trenches of the ocean have tremendous pressure, and sees not even a sliver of light. There Cordelia was hatched, nurtured, and raised, before slowly venturing into darker, deeper, more dangerous waters. Leviathans are seen as the kings of the ocean, but Lia was small, and had a mutation that lightened the color of her scales. Those factors were the main reasonings for larger Leviathans to attack her, those attacks eventually leading to near death and being driven to the surface waters.There, she saw sunlight for the first time. While she floated on the waves, awaiting her eventual death, she chose to soak up the first bit of warm light to ever come across her skin.She did not succumb to her injuries, though. A Miqo'te fisherman, with blue hair and fur, wearing what she would learn to be called was a "hat", managed to snag her on his line and pull her into the boat. She doesn't remember much from that night, outside of seeing his mismatched green and blue eyes, but he took her ashore with him and nursed her back to health.As she recovered, he taught her how to speak, and how to read, and showed her different paintings and pictures as he spoke of Eorzea. He told her that she had come from a place called The Red Sea, near Tamamizu village. As she learned of world ashore and of how her magic worked on land without the power of the ocean, she also learned of what was called "Love", and explores the world ashore on her own, experiencing life and what that means for her.She does shapeshift, taking on different forms to better blend into Eorzean society when she feels the need. She has many different forms tucked away for use, and can add to them or stop using them as she feels the need.
